We Need More Films Like 'EXHUMMA'

EXHUMMA, a korean horror movie released in 2024, written and directed by Jang Jae-hyun, and starring Choi Min-sikKim Go-eunYoo Hae-jin and Lee Do-hyungrossed millions in South Korea and other Asian countries as well.

The films revolves the story around a rich Chaebol family where new born baby is born in America, but the baby keeps crying. The mother call two excorist partners Hwa-rim and Bong-gil. The Korean- American family faces crisis and myterious illness of the child, haunted by a ancestor's spirit tries to kill the family members ( No more spoilers)

Exhumma uses traditional themes of culture, the relation of Korean- Japanese when Japan invaded Korea during 1930s. The film cleverly engulves two different events together, two ghost one korean and other one a Samurai- ghost. There something about horror when you put your cultural references and modern filmming style. The actors were impeccable, the sound design, production design especially the scene where Bong-gil and Hwa-rim were performing ritual to excavate the body from the grave that scene was so chilling also so hear the actor who played Hwa-rim Kim Go-Eun actually did summouned a real ghost as those spells were totally real and there was a real shamman behind the scene in case she summouns a bad spirit, but it was confirmed that summouned a good spirit during the filming scenes.

The historical relation of the korean Ancestor, who was from Joseon Dynasty and the Samuari- ghsot was actually a thief or gangester who stole the royal coffins of the family. The human- headed snake was shocking to see as i never saw something like that i know that its related to Japanese folktales, but i never saw that on any japanese movies.

Please watch it whenver wo want, and i can definitely say you never saw something like that in your life.
